The report that President Muhammadu Buhari will henceforth work from home has been greeted by mixed reactions.
For the third time in a row, the president failed to show up at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) which held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, April 26.
In his absence, the meeting was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Explaining why his boss was absent, the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed was reported to have said Buhari was still resting at home and will henceforth work from home.
Following harsh criticisms from Nigerians, Mohammed said his statement was misrepresented.
“The president only decided to work from home today, not that he has decided to work from home henceforth,” he noted.
Working from home is the dream of many employees and there are many things Buhari will enjoy if he decides to be a work-from-home president.
NAIJ.com has gathered a list of some of the benefits.
1. The stress of moving from one office to the other for meetings is ruled out
All the meetings and other time wasters that come with working from an office environment will be eliminated.
2. No need for his aides to wake him up for early morning meetings
When he is working from home, there will be no need to wake up early to rush to the office for meetings.
3. Enough time to rest
Since he will be working from a less stressful environment, he will have more than enough time to rest. Though, he is still working, it is going to feel like a break from the office.
4. No need to dress up in his usual office attire
He will not need the expensive professional wardrobe since he does not have to dress up for work. He can work in in his PJs if he pleases.
5. He can work from the comfort of his bed
The last thing most people want to do is get out of bed and go to work. If Buhari decides to work from home, he will be at his office right when he wakes up as he has everything he needs for work.
6. Take a refreshing power nap
The president can take a refreshing power nap whenever he feels like unlike when is working from the office.
7. Spend more time with his family
Working from home will give the president an opportunity to spend more time with his family, especially his bae in the other room.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to work secretly from home. The opposition party said he was not elected to work secretly while calling on the presidency to reveal the health status of the president.
Recently, NAIJ.com took to the streets of Lagos to ask Nigerians if President Buhari has truly taken the country out of recession. Here are their reactions.
