The police in Abuja have recovered two locally-made pistols, four plasma TVs, three laptops and kitchen utensils from two suspected armed robbers.

The suspects, Peter Yar and Confidence Gema, were arrested on Monday following a tip-off from residents of Kabusa.

The FCT police spokesman, Usen Omorodion, in a statement on Tuesday said five mobile phones and one cartridge were also recovered from the suspects during the operation led by the Apo Divisional Police Officer, CSP Yahaya Jega.

He said that the suspects and exhibits would be transferred to the Command Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation and prosecution.

Omorodion said the Commissioner of Police FCT, Musa Kimo, commended the residents for the information that led to the arrest of the hoodlums.
