Pozzo stated that they have yet to receive a concrete offer that reflects their valuation of Sanchez, and added that the 22-year-old could stay put, although he admitted that Manchester City's spending power could give them an advantage over Barcelona in the race for his signature.
Last week the Catalan giants were favourites to complete a deal, and met Sanchez's personal demands, but the club's transfer budget of €45m could have scuppered their chances, given their interest in other targets such as Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi.
However, Moggi feels that the Serie A side are resigned to losing Sanchez, and are looking to generate the maximum fee possible for the exciting attacker, while stating his opinion that Inter is the frontrunner to land his services, despite Barcelona and City seemingly leading the way.
"Pozzo is bluffing when he says that Udinese want to hold on to Sanchez. In reality, he is just trying to spark a bidding war between the interested clubs," Moggi was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
"Inter and Manchester City are the two most serious candidates to lure Sanchez away from Udine. I believe that Inter lead the chase ahead of the English side."
Sanchez is contracted to Udinese until the summer of 2014, and it is thought that an offer in the region of €40 million could be needed to conclude business.
