Conduct bureau quizzes Lagos dep gov, SSG, others
A seven-man team of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), on Wednesday, stormed the office of the deputy governor of Lagos State, Chief (Mrs) Adebisi Sosan, for investigation.
The team also visited the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya and few other members of the state executive council.
The team, led by the South-West Commissioner of the bureau, Dr Ademola Adebo, had as members, Mr Isaac Fayemi; Mr Kehinde Faluyi; Bisi Atolagbe; Mr Ezekiel Ola; Mr Aramide-Atolagbe Akinola and Alhaji Alilu Owodunni.
Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, after interrogating the deputy governor, Adebo said the mission of the team was to investigate the activities of Governor Babatunde Fashola; his deputy, Mrs Sosan; SSG; commissioners and special advisers as specified by the constitution.
The team arrived at the office of the deputy governor at about 10:30 a.m and obtained vital documents for investigation from her.
According to Adebo, the documents would assist the team to carry out the second stage of the investigation and verification exercise.
He, however, said the team could not visit Governor Fashola at his office because the governor was busy planning for the inauguration ceremony holding on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Adebo has warned the incoming members of the National Assembly and State houses of Assembly in the South-West to comply with the constitutional requirements before assuming their legislative activities.
