PSC promotes 105 officers to ACP

ABUJA – The Police Service Commission, PSC, yesterday, at end of its 29th plenary meeting considered and ratified the Inspector General of Police’s recommendations for the promotion of One Hundred and Five (105) Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP).

In a statement signed by Chief Information Officer of the Commission, Ferdinand U. Ekpe in Abuja, The Chairman of PSC, Mr. Parry Osayande said those elevated “had undergone Staff College training and passed the relevant examinations”.

Osayande who disclosed that the promotions are with immediate effect, challenged the newly promoted officers to redouble their efforts in the provision of security to the Nation, adding “that deserving officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force would always be rewarded with promotion as at and when due”.

The statement reads, “the Commission took far-reaching decisions in its resolve at transforming, refocusing and repositioning the Force for better service delivery to the Nigerian Nation.

“The Police Service Commission considered and approved the Inspector General of Police’s recommendations for the promotion of One Hundred and Five (105) Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) who had undergone Staff College training and passed the relevant examinations.

“Some of the Chief Superintendents of Police elevated to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police are: Christopher Adetokunbo Owolabi,   Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, Magu Ibrahim, Arungwa Nwazue, Adeleke Adeyinka Bode.

“The promotions are with effect from the 7th of September, 2012”.
