One Year Of Jonathan's Regime: Gen. Buhari, Minister Of Information Labaran Maku, Prof. Tam Davis-West, Femi Falana, Chief Edward Clark, Ayo Obe Storm SaharaTV

Former Nigeria’s Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari will today appear on a special Democracy Day edition of SaharaTV Live show. He will give his assessment of President Jonathan’s one year in office. The three-time presidential candidate will also explain why he wants to run for president in 2015.

From the government of President Goodluck Jonathan we will have the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku. Mr. Maku will do a self-evaluation of the Jonathan’s administration and help explain for our viewers how the transformative agenda has been going.

Other special guests that will help us X-ray the president’s performances and the overall state of the nation are Professor Tam David West, Mr. Femi Falana, Ayo Obe and Chief Edward Clark, Dr. Malcolm Fabiyi, Prof. Wale Adebanwi amongst others.

Prof. Tam David-West was a minister of petroleum under General Muhamadu Buhari. He later on served as the minister of mines and power under Gen. Ibrahim Babangida before he was dismissed. He will assess the performance of this government in the two critical sectors of oil and power. Mr. Falana is a renowned Lagos lawyer and human rights activist. Ms Ayo Obe is a prominent Lagos legal practitioner and former President of the Civil Liberties Organization. Chief Clark is an Ijaw Community organizer and former Federal Commissioner of Information. Dr. Fabiyi is a marketing researcher and an educator. Professor Adebanwi is a Professor of Social Anthropology and Political Science at the University of California at Davis.

Our guests today will examine the last 13 years of Democracy in Nigeria. What has worked and what has not? Is our democracy on a sustainable path? We will also discuss the situation at UNILAG after President Jonathan renamed it Moshood Abiola University.
