Firm marks Children’s Day with schools debate

FOUR schools drawn  from Ilupeju and Ikorodu in Lagos State will, today, participate in a debate competition organised as part of the Children’s Day and World Milk Day celebrations by Nutricima Limited, a nutrition firm.

The scholars would debate on milk and developmental impact on mental performance.

Participating schools are Little Saints Montessori School, Ilupeju, as well as Difas Private School, Lara Narrow Way Private School, and Perfectas Private School all in Ikorodu. Nutricima Limited operates from its head office in Ilupeju while its factory is in Ikorodu.

A statement from the firm’s head of marketing, Mrs. Wande Oluwasegunfunmi, said the idea of the debate is to get the young ones to reflect on the value of one of the most important foods of the human race, milk, as Nigeria joins the world in the global celebration of World Milk Day declared in 2001 by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations. Nutricima last year initiated and led the first Nigerian celebration of the World Milk Day.
