Chippa United are the 2011 Vodacom League Champions after defeating Mpumalanga Sivutsa Stars 1-0 in the Play-offs Final at Philippi on Sunday. 

The two NFD newcomers fought out a scrappy, physical encounter, which saw few opportunities in the first half, but after the break, the home side pushed forward more frequently, and it came to no surprise when substitute Robin Rhode broke free to seal the game in the 69th minute.
 
A few minutes later, Welcome Qalanto almost made it 2-0 with a rasping shot that came of the post, and in the final moments, Stars tried to equalise after Chippa had taken their foot off the gas but the Cape team’s defence held out.
