RIM launches BlackBerry reader, tracker apps

Research In Motion; makers of the Blackberry phone have lunched it’s much anticipated Blackberry reader and Mileage Tracker pro applications to it’s world market especially it’s rapidly expanding African and in particular Nigeria markets.
According to statements made available to Vanguard Hitech, the new Blackberry reader application tracks mileage and expenses right from BlackBerry smartphones. This is through the ProOnGo’s Receipt Reader service which can capture hard copy receipts via the camera on the BlackBerry smart-phone. These expense reports with receipt images can then be exported or emailed to another mobile or receiving device.
The MileageTracker Pro; the other application launched, RIM said, ensures accurate and timely records of trips using MileageTracker Programmes. RIM in the statement indicated that the application software can be used to monitor readings and trip details such as purpose, destination, and date of trip.
Other application that came with this launch includes: Personal Assistant and the BlackBerry Wallet
Personal Assistant enables seamless monitoring of banking and credit card transactions, and investment accounts, track phone minutes. The application could also see itineraries and manage air miles. RIM informed that accounts are updated automatically, putting to naught the need to manually input any data.
RIM’s statements indicated that the new BlackBerry wallet helps to accelerate mobile and online purchasing. The application retrieves information securely stored in the BlackBerry smartphone to help fill in forms with credit card data, going as far as giving account numbers and even shipping information when need be.
