Falcons to play Zimbabwe hard

Super Falcons coach Kadiri Ikhana said his team will not take any chances against visiting Zimbabwe despite their 2-0 advantage, from the first leg African women championship qualifiers in Harare.

The seven-time African champions are expected to roll over the Zimbabwe girls, however Ikhana stated that they have prepared for the game to be decided at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos like they would for any other serious match.

“We have trained so hard and we will not be taking the game for granted,” said the coach who is playing his second competitive game.

He added that he will be fielding his strongest team against the Zimbabweans.

“We will choose the players who are fit to play the game. Everyone has a chance to play and so no one has the right to the shirt.”
