Ondo ACN leader, 300 others Defect To LP
THE Chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ward 4, Ondo West Local Council, Mr. Adejayan Adebileje, has led 299 other members of the party to the ruling Labour Party {LP] even as Akoko youths rally for Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s second term in office.
Among the chieftains of the ACN who decamped with the chairman are Mrs. Taye Akinsulire and Prophet Elijah Agboola who were women leader and welfare officer of the party respectively.
According to a statement, Adebileje, while speaking on behalf of the old ACN members said the decision to decamp from their former party to LP was due to what he described inability of the ACN leaders to adopt due process in electing a flagbearer in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, adding that they were impressed by the preparation of LP for the coming election.
