Braithwaite, Ciroma, Falae, others to meet over confab

EMINENT national leaders under the aegis of the National Summit Group (NSG) are set for the inauguration of the national steering committee of the proposed people’s national dialogue for the country.

A statement by the group’s spokesperson, Olawale Okunniyi, noted: “It will be recalled that the national dialogue process witnessed a major breakthrough last month when the leadership of the NSG met with the apex body of the North, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, where both groups agreed to work together towards an all- inclusive national conference to halt the current hostilities in the country.”

The leaders already invited to the steering committee meeting from the six geo-political zones of the country include Mallam Adamu Ciroma, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule, Chief Olu Falae, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Chief Audu Ogbeh, Dr Tunji Braithwaite, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Chief Chukwuemka Ezeife, Alabo Graham Douglas, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, Chief Solomon Lar, Prof. Pat Utomi, Olisa Agbakoba.

Others are Abduwaheed Omar,  Peter Esele, Mallam Shehu Sanni, Femi Falana, Mallam Bukar Zarma, Mrs. Ganiat Fawehinmi, Alhaji Shettima Yerima, Mallam Naseer Kura, Abubaarkar Umar, Mallam Bala Zaka and Bitrus Gwadah.

According to Okunniyi, the Central Organising Committee of the NSG, has already sent formal invitations to all zonal delegates of the national steering committee of the people’s national dialogue scheduled to hold between June 26 and 28,  2012 at the Sheraton Hotels & Towers in Ikeja, Lagos.
