Pregnant woman, cop killed in police pursuit of robbers

Yenagoa – A pregnant woman, was, yesterday, shot dead during police pursuit of
a car used by suspected robbers in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
One of the policemen  attached to the new security outfit in the state,
Operation Doo Akpo, also fell from the tail-board of the police pick-up van that
was in hot pursuit of the vehicle used by the suspected robbers. He died on the
spot as he was said to have hit his head on the tarred road.
The tragic incident, which occurred at 2.30p.m., in Yenizue-Epie suburb of the
capital, caused gridlock on the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road.
