Nigeria Daily News: Liberia: Sirleaf Dismisses Officials, Suspends Others Liberia: Sirleaf Dismisses Officials, Suspends Others ================================================================================ Staff on 18/09/2012 16:48:00 President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has accepted the resignation of Mr. Francis Carbah from the position of Managing Director of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) for gross indiscretion in financial management. Also dismissed is Mr. Hodo Mariam, First Secretary at the Liberian Embassy in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, for abandoning his post and engaging in acts unbecoming of a diplomat. In another development, the President Sirleaf has suspended, for one month and without pay, the following persons for behavior unbecoming of high-level officials. They are: Mr. J. Cole Bangulu, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Labor Mr. Michael Wah, Assistant Minister, Trade Union Affairs, Ministry of Labor Ms. Rosetta Jackollie, Assistant Minister for Labor Standards, Ministry of Labor Ms. Jacqueline Capehart, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Youth & Sports Mr. Boakai Jalieba, Assistant Minister for Technical & Vocational Training, Ministry of Youth & Sports The President's decisions take immediate effect.
