Genevieve Nnaji and Thandie Newton lead the pack in “Half A Yellow Sun”
In a trailblazing act of collaboration across 3 continents courtesy of Tinapa Studios comes a new high budget feature film production “Half A Yellow Sun”. Casting the likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Genevieve Nnaji, Anika Noni Rose, Zack Orji, Joseph Mawle and John Boyega, the movie is set to explore struggles of the Biafra region in Nigeria based on a novel by Adichie.
Andrea Calderwood and Gail Egan are the producers of the feature debut for theatre director, playwright and novelist, Biyi Bandele, while the executive producers are Yewande Sadiku and Mukhtar Bakare.
Industry analysts believe the potential financial success of the movie will have some impact on future productions of other high budget movies in an ever evolving Nollywood landscape and encourage external investors to find more attraction and appeal for the burgeoning movie industry.
